Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Participate in research and planning to develop new innovative proposals and to guide project work plans.
- Engage and collaborate with external stakeholders (employer partners, educational agencies, community-based organizations) and internal staff (project managers, curriculum developers, instructors and case managers) in the development of projects.
- Assist program managers in the development of project plans including developing project goals and objectives, scope and expectations, roles and responsibilities and an evaluation framework.
- Build and maintain relationships with project participants during all phases of the project and when necessary, provide direct service to participants.
- Take the lead in maintaining ongoing communication with external stakeholders and agencies.
- Develop systems and workflows to ensure that all project information and activity is appropriately collected and completed.
- Create and use appropriate tools to monitor project progress.
- Adjust project activities as needed, based off lessons learned, to continually refine processes and improve outcomes.
- Ensure project goals and deliverables are met, within budget and meet high quality standards.
- Prepare and present project reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

Associate degree or higher from an accredited university/college in a relevant field required or equivalent experience
Required Experience
- At least four years’ experience facilitating trainings/workshops/classes in an adult learning environment;
- At least three years’ experience designing learning materials;
- Knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles;
- Understanding of Multimedia Design and related software/tools
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques;
- Excellent communication, presentation and public speaking skills;
- Sound decision making and organizational skills;
- Proficiency in MS Office, and relevant e-learning and multimedia software.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Curriculum Research and Design
- Provides instructional design support to WERC’s implementation teams
- Demonstrates ability to understand and interpret educational needs and develop effective instructional resources and solutions on projects from concept through completion
- Research instructional activities that address training outcomes and competencies;
- Maintains thorough knowledge of instructional design methodologies including performance-based outcomes assessments
- Develop interactive online and hybrid courses and programs, including creation and revision of course materials.
- Assesses and evaluates online curriculum and activities with learning assessments to demonstrate an online course’s success in achieving learning outcomes
- Analyzes learning management system data with WERC team to address pedagogical issues as needed
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process;
- Develop criteria used to assess learner performance and create assessment instruments;
- Work with client/partner and subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training goals, as needed;
- Recommends educational technology to faculty that enables students to meet course learning objective goals and increases student engagement in online courses
- Trains and supports WERC staff in the use of existing technology and tools associated to program development and online courses creations
- Maintain curriculum documentation and course materials.
Program Instruction and Implementation
- Facilitate workshops and trainings (on and off-site) using alternative and non-traditional methodologies appropriate and effective for working with adult learners as needed when instructors are not available
- Employ a variety of instructional methods including worker-centered, popular education, peer models, etc.
- Employ creative teaching tools such as computers, interactive technology, games, drama, project group work, etc. that enhance the learning process.
- Pilot curriculum and revise/refine curriculum materials/activities as needed;
- Monitor participant learning by collecting, analyzing, and responding to participant evaluations;
- Contribute to the creation of project work plans and adhere to project objectives and milestones;
- Assist in the pre-screening of new program participants as needed;
- Identify deficits in program implementation and collaborate with project team to develop solutions.

- Supervises assigned staff and/or consultant(s) of workforce development programming.
- Develops and implements innovative and imaginative approaches to providing quality workforce development and educational experiences for adult learners.
- Manages the evaluation and assessment of workforce development programming and staff.
- Assisting with preparing for audits and ensuring WERC’s compliance with applicable regulations, funder requirements, and contractual terms and conditions.
- Participates in the identification of new programs and funding initiatives and assists with development activities, such as grant writing, fund development and fundraising.
- Reviewing and approving monthly invoices and expenses of programming.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance workforce development programming.
- Communicates effectively, in a culturally competent fashion, with diverse populations; promotes favorable interaction with managers, co-workers, program participants, community stakeholders, and others.
- Represents the philosophy and mission of WERC by participating in public testimony, coalitions, and related activities to advocate for quality, High Road workforce development programs, and other beneficial programs.

- Supervise Case Management and Program Assistant Team.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance case management practices at WERC.
- Coordination of MSW internship program, which includes liaising with School of Social Work programs for the recruitment of MSW interns, tracking of program requirements, and the supervision of MSW interns.
- Oversee Cash Card Supportive Service Management for eligible Participants ensuring internal controls are followed and ensuring that enrolled Participants are receiving supportive services timely and in accordance with our referral and provided services.
- Oversee the management of Participant files ensuring internal controls are met and contract and/or grant requirements.
- Perform internal audits of Participant files to ensure proper documentation is met in accordance with contract/grant requirements and internal guidelines.
- Ability to manage petty cash (AKA Cash Card) process with accuracy and manage Participants receiving Supportive Services timely.
- Develop and facilitate training related to supportive services and case management for internal staff, participants, funders, and public sector/community organizations.
