WERC is now accepting Registrations for its Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification Training Program
WERC is an approved CalMHSA training vendor and offers training for Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Certification (80 hours) and Peer Services in Crisis Care Specialization (40 hours). Our on-demand courses provide you the opportunity to complete the Peer Support Specialist Core Competency training at your own pace, work one-on-one with our facilitators, and attend monthly live virtual sessions.
WERC is a recognized provider of quality training for people with lived experience in mental health and substance use for roles such as Community Health Workers, Case Managers, and Residential Aides.

- WERC provides self-paced training. Modules will be available 24 hours a day/7 days a week as they are released on RISE, an easy-to-use online learning system.
- WERC offers live online seminars and office hours with an instructor to review content and answer questions in real time!
Registering for the 80-hour Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist Training
Individuals may enroll for the on-demand 80-hour Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialist initial certification training with or without a state scholarship. Those without a state scholarship can enroll at a cost of $1,200 per person. Scholarship and payment information can be found on the registration form. Note: participants are required to begin their training within 2 weeks of receiving their enrollment details or their registration will be cancelled.

Registering for the 40-hour Peer Services in Crisis Care Specialization
Certified Medi-Cal Peer Support Specialists may enroll for the on-demand 40-hour Peer Services in Crisis Care Specialization. Registration is $600 per person. Note: participants are required to begin their training within 2 weeks of receiving their enrollment details or their registration will be cancelled.
